After 11 years of practicing in South Florida Acupuncturist, Dr. Tony Willcox of Acupuncture Zen, interned in 3 Hospitals in Shanghai, China. In July and August of 2012, he increased his knowledge and skill in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine with Advanced techniques for the treatment of many diseases and disorders. The three Hospitals were YueYang Hospital at Ganhe Road. and YueYang at Qinghai Road and Shuguang Hospital which are all affiliated with the world famous, Shanghai University of Traditional Medicine. These hospitals are Integrated Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals that utilize the best medicines of both worlds. To understand the importance of Acupuncture in this country of 1.3 billion people, the first or second floor of these hospitals were Acupuncture wards with numerous treatment rooms. It is not unusual for a single Acupuncture Doctor to treat 120 to 200 patients per day. This became an enormous learning experience for Dr. Willcox with many disease states and conditions being treated.

Dr. Dong, PhD (China), is Chair of the Acupuncture Department at YueYang Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Manager of the Pain Management Specialty Training Center. Dr. Tony Willcox of Acupuncture Zen in Delray Beach, Florida, ventured to Shanghai, China and interned with Dr. Dong who has over 30 years of clinical experience, to personally benefit from learning advanced skills in treatment of diseases such as Neurological Disorders, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Facial Paralysis, Insomnia, Migraines and Pain Management in order to help his local patients in Delray Beach, Boca Raton, including Broward and Palm Beach counties.

She has 23 years of service at this hospital.

Dr. Wang has 35 years experience as a Professor at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This scientific study is published in the US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Willcox has found through his practice, that this technique is not only beneficial for urinary bladder frequency and urgency but also a successful treatment for pain and swelling associated with hemorrhoids.
